Ultimate Music Tagger gives you the possibility of removing the effort from the other half as well. This simple utility is capable of comparing your music against tracks from an online library and it allows you to fill in the missing information with nothing more than a single click. The software can also rename files and folders, based on the retrieved information.

Ultimate Music Tagger is offered as a freeware application, but donations are welcomed if you wish to make one. The software provides support for all popular Windows platforms and it can be installed in just a few seconds. Also, it doesn't use too many resources and it doesn't require any special tools or services.

The software's controls are well organized on a user friendly interface and they are easy to master, even for novice users. You can load an entire music folder through a standard browsing dialog and you can also filter the files by their extensions. Loaded files are displayed in a list, in the lower region of the interface and its tags are displayed on the right side of the window.

You can search for tag information on LastFM or MusicBrainz, by specifying a track name, an artist or an album, in separate input fields. The found tracks are displayed next to your imported files, in a separate list. All you have to do is select your files and their corresponding tracks and click a button to fill in the missing tag information. Besides artist and album names or other information, the application can retrieve and apply album covers as well.

Renaming files or folders is another supported function. Ultimate Music Tagger places a series of predefined wildcards at your disposal, which you can select in different drop menus, for files or folders. You only need to select a set of wildcards and click a button to rename your files or hit a different one to rename their parent folder, according to the selected wildcards.
